What are BizCards & Mini-CDs?
These self-launching business card-size CDs are played in a computer and provide
an interactive combination of graphics, animation, photos, and audio & video
information. “BizCards” (and Mini CDs) are fully functional CD-ROMs in a custom
size. Imagine the impact in the hands of your ministry team or business contacts as
they view a self-contained presentation that can include text, your website,
PowerPoint presentations, streaming audio/video, photos, data, charts, graphs -
anything that works on a full-size CDrom.
Video details
You create new video, or you can can convert any already existing video to CD, re-edit it,
break it up into different chapters, update old interviews with new video footage, add
pictures, add new graphics, revise your contact information, etc. A BizCard holds up to 4
minutes of high quality video, a mini-CD holds 12 minutes.
Computer Compatability
The CDs run on any Windows operating system (with basic memory requirements printed on the
face of each disc). They start up automatically and all software is self-contained in the
computer programming on the CD. It will not "add" anything to your computers,
but will run, as you command, just like a VCR or DVD.
Why are interactive CDroms better than videotape?
- A 30 minute video takes up to 35 minutes to duplicate and rewind 1 copy,
while a Cdrom with up to 30 minutes of video and hours of print media takes only a few
minutes to replicate. Therefore, mass duplication costs are much cheaper than videotape.
- In addition, 100 videotapes with cases can take up several cubic feet of space and
can weigh well over 20 pounds. 100 Cdroms take up less space than a shoebox and weighs
only a few pounds at best.
- A videotape can cost as much as $2.50 to mail, while a CD costs as little as 34 cents.
Why are interactive CDroms better than traditional brochures and other
print media?
- Studies show that written materials yield only 20% information retention. When audio and
visual is combined, the information retention is boosted to 50%. Cdroms can deliver up to
70% information retention.
- Cdroms and videos also have a much higher percieved value, and therefore, will not get
discarded
as easily as print materials.
- In addition CDrom duplications cost about the same as high-quality brochures and other
promotional print media.
CDroms vs. traveling
Travel expenses can easily add up to well over $100 a day, not to mention the stress of being away from the family, the weather, jetlag, etc. Interactive videos not only capture your personality, passion and your story, but, they also allow the viewer to come to you with location footage and photos. Sometimes travel is unaviodable, but clearly, interactive CDs are the next best thing.
CDroms vs. internet video 
Despite the advantages of internet video, it still has it's drawbacks. Many people
still have problems downloading large files and playing streaming video on their own
personal computers. Realplayer forces you to register and give out your email before
you can upgrade your software, and even then, depending on current internet traffic, you
may have trouble seeing and hearing the video smoothly. With an interactive CD, you
do not have to be connected to the internet, and you do not have to have any additional
software on your computer.
Do I retain full creative control throughout the production?
You retain full creative control of your CDs. The prototype is created and given to
you before any copies are made, and full approval must be given before any changes are
made.
