What are the details? Every Wednesday night, from 8:00 - 11:00,  From 8:00 - 9:00 I teach introductory level.  Whether you've been dancing for years and want to be introduced to a brand new dance, have seen some before but need a refresher, or are a total beginner, this is your hour. From 9:00 - 10:00, I teach at a more advanced level.  Whether you've been coming regularly and are working on something specific, have been dancing other places, or simply want to take a chance and something challenging, this is catered to you. and from 10:00 - 11:00 I stop teaching anything specific and let you run the show.  I am still available to answer questions, or if you just want a dance or two.  But we won't kick you out until 11:00.  Come when you can, come when you want.   $10, whatever time you come.

If I come with my partner, and we want to practice something specific on our own, can we do that? Absolutely. Dance as a couple or rotate with the rest of us. Just let me know I haven't been very successful at dancing in the past. Am I going to get matched up with a partner that's too advanced?? You will most likely get to dance with people at all different levels. It varies from dance to dance, and/or technique to technique. That's why I am there, to help the both of you, so men can learn to lead women of all levels, and women will learn how to follow men at all levels. back to top

Can I bring music and/or request a specific dance that I want to work on?? Absolutely. That's what it's all about. When somebody requests a dance, people who are working at an advanced level can practice that, and people who are learning for the first time, can learn to dance it as well.  I also rotate so that I can dance with everyone at least once. So its more than just a three hour dance party? Absolutely. It's a learning environment as well as a social and networking time. You dance when you want to and sit down and have a drink/snack, talk, when you need a break. Is there ever a formal lesson??? Impromptu lessons are going on all the time throughout the evening, depending on either who's expressed interest at the time, or what I think would be really fun/beneficial for everyone. Sometimes I'll teach technique, sometimes I'll teach a cool pattern or step. If there is a specific dance you want to learn, let me know and I'll teach a specific lesson on it, just for you, and anyone else lucky enough to be there that night. I have friends who just want to stop in for a few minutes and observe and not dance. Is that OK? No problem, just make sure you introduce us, so I can still make them feel at home. back to top .
