   What is the cost/time committment/location?.
Private lessons currently cost $60 each.  I encourage new dancers to buy them in batches of five. In order to get the most out of your lessons, you need lots of repetition and recalling to take place.  To help encourage this, you get free admission to Wednesday nights with every purchase of five lessons.   Lessons will take place at 119 Gayley street, Media Pennsylvania, as scheduled.  You can either book by email response (first come first serve), or at the end of each private lesson.

   Do I need a partner?
If you are a female, you do not need a partner, as you will be dancing with me for the whole lesson.  You will not be able to split your lesson with another partner, however you will get excellent quality attention and will become an excellent following skill, thus making it a joy for any man to dance with you. I will do my best to connect individual males who want to sign up, with individual females who want to sign up.

   What Dances will I learn?
If you add up all the different types of dances, including the many varieties of Swing, Waltz, and Tango, you'd have over 15 different types of dances I am qualified to teach. I can focus on any specific dance that anybody wants to learn.

If you are just learning for the first time; Most people, who are dancing for the first time, are looking for the basic dancing techniques to the rhythms of the most popular dancing music out there. (Such as wedding receptions).   Five dances this could include would be Swing (Jitterbug), Foxtrot, Hustle, Cha Cha and Rumba.  But the fundamental techniques you'd learn in those classes can easily be applied to the foot positions and timing of many other dances. Other popular choices include Waltz, Tango, Salsa & Mambo,  Night Club 2-step, Country 2-step, Merengue, Samba, and all other varieties of swing (West Coast, Lindy, triple rythym, Balboa, etc.

    Where can I practice?
Wednesday nights from 8-11 is designated practice time.  For $10, you can stay the entire evening, or as long as you like, to get quality practice time in.  In addition, I've been busy visiting as many of the local established dances and studios in the Philadelphia area, and have contact information and my personal recommendations for each one I've visited.  If you would like to schedule additional practice time at the dance studio, that can be arranged as well.

   Why five lessons?
A five week commitment is optimal so that you can walk away confident and assured so that this is something you would continue to enjoy outside of the lessons, as part of a regular healthy lifestyle, for the rest of your lives (yes, people dance for the rest of their lives).  It's no different than learning to drive, type, learning a foreign language, or a musical instrument.  The learning and teaching principles are the same, only much more fun and socially engaging.

   Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes.  Gift Certificates for Private Dance instruction make a great gift.

Can I bring my own music to the Dance lesson?
I totally encourage students to bring music that they enjoy, and that makes them want to dance.

It helps them develop a conscience for discovering what rhythm and dance a song is, when they hear it at a wedding or on the radio. I've always personally felt that good music comes first, and then the desire to dance follows naturally.

   Do you teach Line Dances?
I have taught some traditional line dances in group classes.

If you need a quick lesson in the Electric Slide, the Watermelon Crawl, the two-step, or Cotton eyed Joe, it's not a problem.

Do you teach wedding couples to dance?
Yes.  I've worked with dozens of engaged couples over the past few years.  Some just want some basic steps so that they feel fairly competent during their big moment.  Others take months to prepare way ahead of time, and make the first a dance a very significant moment in the reception.  Contact me for future reference.  Special rates on Professional videography services are also available for any wedding couple who takes dance lessons from me!

   How do I sign up?
Drop me an email with your phone number, or call me, 610-420-4727, and I will enroll you in the next available slot  You can also drop by the studio anytime during Wednesday night practice, from 8-11 pm.  There are openings every few weeks and you can pay with cash, check, or credit card.
